Direct lighting control based on user input

The MRS modules can be used to control the lighting of vehicle interiors (Ambiance/Mood Lighting) or to activate interval-switched applications such as directional or warning flashers. The controllers and relays receive the user's information via the input device, usually a switch, button or operating display, and transmit the commands to the respective lamps.

Indirect light control after motor activation

MRS controls enable, among other things, the activation of working environment lighting, for example, with construction machinery. Here, the working light (daytime running light) is automatically activated when the engine is switched on, or the all-round light is switched on in the case of special vehicles such as sweepers or snow groomers. The modules activate the lights automatically when a defined action occurs, such as starting the engine.

Monitoring, detection, and warning in case of defective lamps

MRS controllers can monitor the load current. If this decreases or fails, the control unit detects this and sends an indication or a warning message that this lamp is defective and has failed.
