For manufacturers of vehicle bodies and special-purpose attachments, electronic integration is often the biggest hurdle. How can hydraulics, sensors, and special add-ons communicate seamlessly with the complex architecture of the base vehicle? This is where we come in. We develop customer-specific hardware and software and help body manufacturers bring their ideas to series production quickly and reliably.
Whether it's a crane or a salt spreader for winter service, every vehicle body has its own requirements for control, communication, and sensing. Standard components rarely fit, and developing in-house electronics is resource-intensive. Our portfolio ranges from compact controllers and gateways to HMI systems and customer-specific electronics. This allows us to network all components with one another.
Typical functions of our solutions:
- Hydraulic control: precise activation of electro-hydraulic functions
- Lighting control: activation and monitoring of lighting systems
- Sensor and actuator integration: processing of relevant vehicle and body data
- Communication with the vehicle body: integration of additional functions into the vehicle's CAN network
We develop control logic with our in-house programming tool, Applics Studio, so that it can be efficiently tailored to the specific requirements of the vehicle and body.
Gateways as translators between truck and body Our gateways connect the vehicle electronics with the body systems. Via CAN and J1939, vehicle data can be read out and used for body functions. At the same time, additional components integrate securely into the existing vehicle architecture.
Customer-specific development from a single source Not every vehicle body can be realized with a standard solution. That's why we adapt existing products or develop hardware, embedded software, and HMI applications from scratch. As a development partner, we support our customers from the first idea through to series production.
Cybersecurity and robustness As vehicle networks become increasingly connected, protecting vehicle communication is becoming ever more important. We consider cybersecurity from the very beginning of development. Our 32-bit products monitor and filter CAN bus messages and can be adapted to individual requirements. The often fully potted hardware design also ensures reliable operation, even under harsh conditions.
